I have finally finished writing my 101 in 1001 list and am ready to share it with you.
This is a list of 101 goals I hope to meet in the next 1001 days. If you would like to learn more about this concept, please visit the Day Zero Website.
Some of my goals might be a little unrealistic, but I tried not to limit myself while making this list. I have accepted that I may not complete everything here, but a girl’s got to have goals.
After today, you can access this list from my blog menu at the top of the page. I intend to periodically post about my accomplishments, but you can always look there check up on my progress.
So let us begin:
Start Date: February 1, 2011.
End Date: October 28, 2013
Health (physical, spiritual, emotional, and otherwise):
1. Eat a vegetable with every dinner for a week
2. Eat a fruit every day for two weeks
3. Run twice a week for a month.
4. Learn to enjoy tea with half as less sugar as I do now
5. Substantially improve my posture
6. Get eight hours of sleep every night for a week
7. Drink eight 8oz glasses of water a day for a week
8. Remain not-pregnant
9. Figure out my blood type
10. Read the Bible cover to cover
11. Consistently have some dedicated time with God every day for a month
12. Don’t complain about anything for a week
13. Participate in Lent
14. Turn off my phone for 24 hours
15. Paint my fingernails and leave them painted for more than a day
Food (and cooking food)
16. Cook two new things in the same month
17. Learn how to cook fish
18. Learn how to grill a steak well
19. Make homemade hushpuppies
20. Make pancakes from scratch
21. Cook a shrimp dish
22. Make bagels from scratch
23. Make Sangria
24. Visit a berry picking farm (and pick berries!)
25. Make my own jam (with or without the berries I picked myself)
26. Eat something I’ve grown myself
27. Try three new cocktails
28. Eat at three new restaurants
29. Host a holiday meal
30. Make rosemary flatbread
31. Use my fondue set two times
Hobbies
32. Use my Nikon at least once a week for three months
33. Get a new lens for my camera
34. Take a photo of the same place during Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter
35. Join a book club
36. Read at least one book a month for 6 months straight
37. Read at least 30 new books total
38. Rewatch the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice
39. Watch the recent re-make of Pride and Prejudice
40. Play videogames with my husband once a week for three months
41. Watch all of the Buffy and Angel shows
42. Adopt a puppy
43. Dye my hair
44. Grow something from a seed
45. Write something in wet cement
46. Witness/ be a part of a flash mob
47. Make a blanket fort with my husband
48. Participate in NaBloPoMo
49. Complete the 365 Day Photo Challenge
50. Figure out how to post my recipes on my blog in a way that doesn’t drive me crazy
51. Create an updated “101 things that make me happy” list
Education
52. Pass the CPA exam
53. Get my scuba diving license
54. Be able to identify all 50 states on a map
55. Learn all the countries and their locations in Europe
56. Learn a new language
57. Learn how to change a tire
58. Learn and perfect two new ways to do my eye-makeup
